    Facing Lebaran Holidays Telkom Strengthens Network Connectivity

    BANDUNG - PT Telekomunikasi Indonesia (Telkom) Regional III West Java alerted around 1,800 personnel to maintain network connectivity in the face of the Idul Fitri holiday 1440 Hijri.

    Executive Vice President (EVP) PT. Telkom Regional III, Edwin Aristiawan said, the personnel were on guard for 24 hours at the posts of each region from May 29 to June 13, 2019.

    "According to our commitment to maintain telecommunications network services there must be no interference, we lowered thousands of field technicians and controllers in the office," Edwin said to reporters late on Sunday (05/27).

    According to Edwin, his party is also strengthening connectivity in a number of locations to face the Idul Fitri holiday 1440 Hijri and supporting a number of agencies such as the Police and the Ministry of Transportation as well as the Transportation Office of West Java and the Transportation Office of cities and regencies in West Java.

    "Strengthening network connectivity is carried out to connect hundreds of CCTV devices spread across a number of homecoming points in West Java with traffic control centers, so that it will facilitate relevant agencies in monitoring traffic flow situations, crowd centers during Eid holidays," he said

    According to Edwin, to maintain network connectivity properly it has carried out a number of maintenance and replacement of network device components that have exceeded the time of use which can slow down the transfer of data from CCTV.

    "Our maintenance is carried out in public areas, such as alun alun, zoos, malls, recreation areas, even if it is damaged because of falling trees or getting hit," he said. (Parno)
