BANDUNG - West Java Governor Ridwan Kamil advised the young generation that life is not as beautiful as drama. Because, there are many challenges and demands that will be faced and must be passed.
Emil - Ridwan Kamil's familiar words - reminded the younger generation to prepare the future as well as possible. Because, he continued, the challenges of life will be even greater. Starting from the abundance of false information to radicalism. One of the best provisions to counteract this is adequate knowledge and qualified character.
"A message for brothers and sisters, intend whatever our life is for worship, and the best life is to have a purpose," he said in the Binni'mah Tasyakur Darul Hikam Final Class Release 2018-2019 at Sasana Budaya Ganesha (Sabuga) ITB Bandung, Wednesday (5/22/2019).
In the same situation, Emil described human types. The first type is humans who do not bother others, but their presence has no effect. There are also people of the type who are favored because they have pleasant qualities.
However, said Emil, the best type of human being is humans who provide benefits to other individuals, the environment, and the universe. Therefore, Emil advised that the younger generation not only think of their own interests, but also the interests of the public.
"I am destined to be a governor, then it is intended to worship, for the sake of usefulness. Through bureaucracy I try to accelerate the masses, and eradicate the danger," he said.
"Now the task of parents is to work. The task of the younger siblings is to learn. Learning is not to pursue awards, but to understand the future. The younger siblings can be the continuation of continuing civilization in a better direction," he continued.
There are four main values that become important capital for the younger generation to realize good civilization. The first is Intelligence Quotient (IQ) because humans are endowed with the ability to continue to learn and expand knowledge.
The next capital is Emotional Quotient (EQ) or good morals. Then, Spiritual Quotient (SQ) which functions to support morals. The last is Physical Quotient (PQ), which is a generation that has a good physique.
"If you want to win the brain, you have to be smart because you are fed with knowledge. We must respect each other, be diligent in worship as a reflection of SQ, finally your body is healthy. That is the four values that must be possessed," he said.
In addition, Emil called the biggest enemy in life is himself. Therefore, all negative things that stick out in themselves need to be conquered. For example, fighting laziness, arrogant, arrogant, and so on.
Even so when facing the digital era. Emil invites young people to integrate themselves with the digital world. It is important to solve the problem via digital space. The goal is so that the younger generation can hold fast to the principle of 'smart work'.
Emil himself was present along with his wife, Atalia Praratya Kamil. They were present as Camillia Laetitia Azzahra's parents who were one of the graduates of Darul Hikam at the junior high school level.
"I also have the capacity as a parent here. My first child Emmeril Kahn Mumtaz is also an alumni of Darul Hikam (SD-SMP), now ITB Mechanical Engineering. The second child Camillia Laetitia Azzahra, neng Zara, is now on stage receiving a certificate for graduation," he concluded .
