    West Java BI Prepares More Than Rp30 Trillion in Currency During the 2019 Lebaran Season


    BANDUNG - Located at the Dipatiukur Street Struggle Monument (Monju), as many as 13 mobile cash cars from different banks hold new currency exchanges. This activity is one of the efforts of Bank Indonesia (BI) West Java to serve people who want to get new banknotes.

    Head of West Java BI Doni P Joewono said that the total money prepared for the West Java region reached around 30 trillion rupiah divided into several working areas.

    For the Bandung region, BI West Java provides the largest amount of Rp. 13.7 trillion. Then the Cirebon area which covers the cities and regencies of Cirebon, Kuningan, Indramayu and Majalengka prepared new money worth Rp.7.25 trillion.

    Then the Tasikmalaya region which covers Tasikmalaya, Banjar, Pangandaran and Ciamis districts amounted to Rp3.41 trillion.

    "If Bodetabek is added, then the money prepared will be around Rp. 30 trillion. "Bodetabek entered the spread of Jakarta," he said interrupted by the launching of the Integrated Money Exchange Service Car on Tuesday (05/20/2019).

    In this activity BI collaborated with 13 commercial banks. However, according to him, BPR banks can also be chosen by the community to exchange their money.

    "Not always in mobile mobile, all banks can also receive the latest exchange of notes," he explained.
