SUBANG - West Java Provincial Government (Pemdaprov) asked the District Government (Pemkab) of Subang to immediately make a Regional Regulation (Perda) on Sawah Abadi. This was stated by the Deputy Governor of West Java Uu Ruzhanul Ulum in the 1440 Hijri Ramadhan Safari at the Al Musabaqah Grand Mosque, Subang Regency, Tuesday (05/21/2019).
According to Uu Ruzhanul, Sawah Abadi Regulation is important to maintain the agricultural land in Subang Regency. The reason is that Subang Regency is one of the priorities for developing the Special Economic Zone (SEZ) of the Rebana Triangle (Patimban-Cirebon-Kertajati).
"This Subang Regency must be istiqamah to become a national and West Java rice granary. Because if the Subang rice barn is disturbed, we are worried that the food will be disrupted. So, here the government (Subang Regency) must maintain its agricultural land, "he said.
Uu Ruzhanul asked a question to the Regent of Subang Ruhimat about the matter of Perda Sawah Abadi. Because, he said, the regulation would be the legal basis for maintaining agricultural land or food production, so it would not be easily converted.
"He said it was being made (Regional Regulation on Sawah Abadi). If there is no Regional Regulation of Sawah Abadi, we are afraid that the community will be so easy to divert the function of land from paddy fields to housing, so that it will disrupt the food production itself, "he said.
Therefore, Uu Ruzhanul hopes that the Subang Regency Government has firmness in maintaining food productive land in the area. The goal is of course so that food availability in West Java is maintained.
"Moreover, Subang is included in the development area of ??the economic triangle of West Java, Rebana," he said.
"We need economic development, we need improved welfare. But please help the farm not be ignored. So immediately make an eternal rice field regulation! "He continued.
On the same occasion, the West Java Provincial Government via the West Java National Amil Zakat Agency (Baznas) provided compensation to 50 orphans / needy people of Rp. 12.5 million, 10 santri of salafiyah Islamic boarding schools of Rp. 5 million, and DKM of Al Masjid Agung Musabaqah Subang amounting to Rp 2.5 million. In addition, dozens of Al-Quran and Iqro were also given.
Subang Ruhimat Regent welcomed the Ramadhan Safari compensation activities. He hoped this compensation activity could increase solidarity and spirit of ukhuwah Islamiyah, as a manifestation of the government's concern for the people.
"This compensation activity is also a form of social care to help realize community welfare, especially for the poor," he said.
Before taking a safari in Subang Regency, Uu Ruzhanul visited Indramayu Regency. In its activities, West Java Provincial Government via Baznas West Java Province handed over compensation to 50 orphans / needy people amounting to Rp. 12.5 million, 10 students from salafiyah Islamic boarding schools of Rp. 5 million, and DKM of the Great Mosque of Indramayu of Rp. 2.5 million.
