BANDUNG CITY- A total of 17 flying groups (kloter) of prospective pilgrims will be flown from the West Java International Airport (BIJB) Kertajati Majalengka in this 2019 Hajj season.
This was revealed in a coordination meeting of the Cluster Preparation and Preparation of the Hajj Pilgrimage Candidates for West Java Province in 1440 H / 2019 which took place at the Aryaduta Hotel Ballroom, Bandung, Tuesday (05/14/19).
"For the scheme of the number per flight group, whether using 393 or 410 depends on the airline," said Head of the West Java Provincial Ministry of Religion Regional Office Drs H A Buchori MM when he was the moderator in the coordination meeting.
Buchori said, the 17 group of prospective pilgrims came from Cirebon Regency, Cirebon City, Majalengka Regency, Kuningan Regency and Indramayu Regency. "We are implementing a zoning system," he said.
Therefore, he asked the Head of the Ministry of Religion of the five districts / cities to immediately prepare all the needs needed. Especially, reminding the families and relatives of prospective pilgrims who want to deliver to not be done excessively.
"This is important, in order to maintain the smoothness and firmness of prospective pilgrims. Moreover, the capacity of airport parking and embarkation needs to be considered, "he added.
In the interim, the place option to be used as an embarkation has not been determined considering further surveys must be conducted. However, most likely the option fell on The Radiant, Cirebon Regency.
This was revealed when the BIJB explained the readiness of the airport as well as its supporting facilities. "The location of the embarkation is directed at a place not far from the airport," said West Java Regional Secretary Iwa Karniwa who had participated in a limited meeting before the coordination meeting was held.
Iwa hopes that the collaboration of the West Java Provincial Government - Ministry of Religion, the dream of sending prospective pilgrims from Kertajati Airport can be realized. "Therefore, we are meeting to present a solution if there are obstacles," he said.
Regarding the additional funding for the administration of the Hajj which is caused by the transfer of embarkation and all the factors in it, the West Java Provincial Government guarantees that it will not charge the pilgrims. "The difference in financing is borne by us, the important thing is that the prospective pilgrims are well served," he said.
Meanwhile, Nizar, the Director General of the Directorate of Hajj and Umrah Ministry of Religion of the Republic of Indonesia, the airline immediately registered the time slot first to the government of Saudi Arabia.
"Therefore, later in the meeting on Thursday (5/16), this issue will also be discussed. Because, to register the slot time takes time, "he explained.
It is planned that on Thursday (16/5) in Jakarta, the Director General of Hajj and Umrah Implementation of the Indonesian Ministry of Religion, Ministry of Transportation, Garuda Indonesia and Saudi Arabia Airline, will hold a meeting on the flight mechanism to transport 17 Hajj pilgrims to Kertajati embarkation.
KPPU Monitor Flight Tickets
Meanwhile, the Business Competition Supervisory Commission (KPPU) Banten Region III, DKI Jakarta and West Java continued to monitor the price of airplane tickets that are currently felt by prospective pilgrims to be still expensive.
KPPU Region III Commissioner Kurnia Toha claimed to have met with the Minister of Transportation regarding the price of expensive airline tickets. From the results of the discussion, the Ministry of Transportation will immediately issue a regulation to reduce the top price.
"Because there is a top price, the airline business is tight at the top price, we have also checked it," he said.
Government intervention, he said, is very important to the aviation industry. Because the business is still a little culprit, so the price of airplane tickets cannot be delivered by the market mechanism. "Unless there are many business actors in this industry, the market mechanism can apply," he said.
Toha hopes that with the steps taken by the Indonesian Minister of Transportation, the price of airplane tickets can go down before the current homecoming. "We appreciate the steps. We will continue to monitor if the rules have dropped in these weeks, "he hoped.
