BANDUNG - West Java Provincial Secretary (West Java Regional Secretary) Iwa Karniwa ensures pilgrims from five regencies / cities depart via the West Java International Airport (BIJB) Kertajati Majalengka. The West Java Provincial Government (Pemdaprov) has also determined the hajj dormitory for around 6,705 worshipers.
The five regencies / cities include Indramayu Regency, Cirebon Regency, Cirebon City, Majalengka Regency and Kuningan Regency. That number is likely to increase, considering that Sumedang Regency is interested in sending pilgrims via the BIJB Kertajati.
About Asmara Hajj, Iwa Karniwa said that the West Java Provincial Government had coordinated with the Regional Office of the Ministry of Religion of West Java Province when determining one hotel in the city of Cirebon. The hotel was chosen because it has complete facilities to support hajj embarkation.
"The dormitory has been surveyed by him (the West Java Regional Office of the Ministry of Religion) one year before, and the conclusion by the Ministry of Religion is at the hotel, because the equipment is adequate," Iwa said after chairing a discussion meeting on the hajj departure plan from BIJB Kertajati, in Gedung Sate Malabar Room On Monday (05/13/2019).
"So, for the departure of this year's Hajj, West Java has two places, the first in Bekasi, the second in Kertajati," he continued.
The hotel that has been set by Pemdaprov Jabar has 62 rooms with 456 beds, bathrooms, air conditioning, and extensive parking capacity. In addition, the distance of the hotel to BIJB is quite sufficient, which is 4 km to the toll gate and 63 km to BIJB with a travel time of 1 hour 10 minutes.
Regarding the budget, Iwa Karniwa claimed that there was a difference in price even though it was not large. However, he said, the West Java Provincial Government was ready to close the shortfall.
"The budget has no problems, it has been prepared by the Ministry of Religion, there are only a few shortcomings, then we can finish it by the provincial government. We will coordinate, "he said.
Meanwhile, Head of West Java Regional Office of Hajj and Umrah Hajj and Umrah, Ajam Mustajam, confirmed that there was no change in the scheduled departure for the first group of pilgrims at the Kertajati BIJB, namely on July 20, 2019.
"There were no changes in the flight, all of them remained on schedule. Just different places to go, "said Ajam.
