BANDUNG CITY- West Java Governor Ridwan Kamil gave a souvenir in the form of a number 10 Persib Bandung jersey to state guests, Mayor of Melbourne Australia, Sally Capp, in the West Hall of Gedung Sate on Friday (10/5/19).
According to Emil - so Ridwan Kamil was addressed -, the reason for giving the number 10 team to the pride of the West Java community was because the two regions had a thick soccer culture. Emil did not rule out the possibility of cooperation in the field of sports with Melbourne.
"We have a big team in Indonesia Persib, and in Melbourne, we have it, hopefully someday we can work together in football sports," he said.
In addition to the Persib Bandung jersey, Emil also presented Sally Capp with a cleaver, both of which he designed himself, and typical West Java coffee. Interestingly, in the dinner meal, Sally Capp was treated to typical West Java food such as shake noodles and soto Bandung.
West Java's potential and invitation for investment
On the same occasion, Emil explained a number of potential West Java, especially in the tourism sector to Sally Capp. The former Mayor of Bandung also invited his state guests to invest in West Java in various fields.
"60 percent of Indonesia's investment is in West Java, we have everything, please come to invest," he said.
To Sally Capp and the delegation who came, Emil expressed his plans to open an Jabar coffee shop in Melbourne. Because, said Emil, West Java has the best quality coffee that has been proven.
"We have the best coffee that has won the world in competition in America. We have many mountains, one mountain can produce a different type of coffee. And we plan to open a coffee shop in Melbourne," he said.
To realize the plan, the West Java Provincial Government and the West Java Chamber of Commerce and Industry (Kadin) will hold a meeting with the Melbourne business delegation to discuss technical matters related to cooperation.
"I will also send our business team to Melbourne," Emil closed.
