    During Ramadan, the Secretary Requests Civil Servants' Performance to be Enhanced

    BANDUNG CITY- The working hours of the state civil apparatus (ASN) in the government environment throughout West Java are adjusted during the month of Ramadan 1440 H or fasting in 2019.

    The West Java Provincial Government (Pemdaprov) has issued a circular letter to all regents and mayors related to the adjustment of ASN working hours.

    "We have made a circular letter to the Head of Regional Device Organization (OPD) also to the regent / mayor. In order to be informed that civil servants' working hours have little change, "said West Java Regional Secretary Iwa Karniwa, during the Joint Prayers and Prayers in Order to Welcome the Holy Month of Ramadan, at the Office of West Java Regional Secretary Aria Jipang Street, Bandung, Wednesday (1 / 5/19).

    Based on Circular Number 060/29 / ORG concerning the Establishment of Working Hours during Ramadan 1440 H / 2019 M in the Environment of the Regional Government of West Java Province, it was determined that the number of effective working hours in Ramadan is 32 hours 30 minutes per week

    The details, from Monday to Thursday, employees enter at 7:30 a.m., a half-hour break at 12: 00-12: 30, and may leave at 2:30 a.m. WIB. Especially on Friday, the hours of entering the ASN are 07:30, one hour breaks from 11:30 to 12:30 due to giving the time for Friday prayers, and returning home at 3:00 p.m. Specifically, the ASN serves until Saturday, the hours of work are 08.00 and return home 12.00 WIB.

    Even though there are adjustments to working hours, the Secretary of Iwa requested that the ASN and all employees in the government environment not reduce the quality of service to the community. "Remaining productivity must be the same and even increase," said Iwa.

    According to Iwa, the month of Ramadan is not only the momentum of increasing vertical worship to Allah SWT, but also horizontal charity fields to many people through the optimization of performance which certainly has an impact on improving people's welfare.

    "Of course worship is not only that, but worship also enhances our performance in carrying out basic tasks and functions, where this performance is beneficial for improving the welfare of the people of West Java," he continued.
