    Hundreds of Participants Follow Recitation and Prayer Together Before Election


    BANDUNG- A total of 700 participants attended the common Dhikr and Prayer event at Mapolrestabes Bandung, in the context of the election of the President and Vice President and the 2019 Legislative Elections in West Java that were safe, cool and peaceful.

    Joint Remembrance and Prayer Program at Mapolrestabes Bandung, Jln. Merdeka Kota Bandung, Saturday (04/13) was attended by Commander III / Siliwangi Maj. Gen. Tri Soewandono, West Java Regional Police Chief Inspector General of Police Drs. Agung Budi Maryoto, West Java Governor M. Ridwan Kamil and Bandung Mayor Oded M. Danial and Deputy Mayor of Bandung, Yana Mulyana.

    In the discussion delivered by Habib Quraisy Baharudin from the Cirebon Shidqi Islamic Boarding School, said that the Presidential Election and Pileg must be supported by religious values ??in which there is a value of honesty, justice and freedom to choose leaders according to their respective consciences.

    "The election of a leader has been carried out from the time of the Prophet Muhammad (PBUH) where at that time the Ummah chose a kholifah (leader) at that time," he said.

    Meanwhile, the leader of the Daarul Tauhid Islamic Boarding School, KH. Abdullah Gymnastiar expects, the community can use their right to vote well which will be held in the elections on April 17, 2019 the day after as participation in determining the fate of the nation going forward.

    "Choosing a leader is free, but the difference in choices that exist in us should not be a breaker and trigger for conflict," he said.

    According to Abdullah Gymnastiar, activities such as remembrance and prayer together are very good for strengthening the relationship and a place to get to know each other.
