Getting 1.507 Certificate of Endowments, Citizens Are Easier to Get Central Assistance

SUKABUMI - Deputy Governor of West Java Uu Ruzhanul Ulum welcomed the giving of 1,507 waqf certificates from the central government to residents of Sukabumi Regency.

Deputy Governor accompanied the Coordinating Minister for Maritime Affairs Luhut Binsar Pandjaitan and Minister of Agrarian and Spatial Planning / Head of the National Land Agency (BPN) Sofyan Djalil at Al Masthuriyah Islamic Boarding School, Cibolangkaler Village, Cisaat District, Sukabumi Regency, Wednesday (10/4/19).

The Deputy Governor expressed his pleasure because West Java received considerable attention from the central government. "We believe that the presence of the ministers here will bring goodness, benefit for all of us," said Uu.

Uu also feels proud of the central government giving great attention to the lives of people in West Java. "Alhamdulillah, after the Santri Day, then there is a Mu program which is for ma'had a'liy santri salaflyah (a diploma equivalent to S1). Now there are waqf land certificate programs, pesantren, taklim assemblies, madrasas, DKM, foundations, and other religious institutions," call it.

By having a certificate, citizens are increasingly able to get access to assistance from the central government. "It is no longer difficult to get help from the government for development, because it already has a waqf land certificate. So far (the certificate) has always been a problem because it is one of the requirements to get assistance from the government," Uu explained.

Minister of Agrarian and Spatial Planning / Head of BPN Sofyan Djalil said earlier that the government had granted 23,000 land certificates to residents in all corners of West Java.

"Today we distributed around 1,507 waqf land certificates to Sukabumi residents. In West Java alone we have distributed around 23,000 certificates. Hopefully by 2025 all land in Indonesia can be registered," Sofyan said.

The 1,507 waqf certificates will later be allocated for community worship facilities, including mosques, musalas, public cemeteries, places for taklim assemblies, and madrassas.

The issuance of this waqf land certificate, according to Sofyan, will continue to be carried out together with the issuance of people's land certificates. The issuance of this waqf land certificate benefits include receipt of assistance from the government.

"Hopefully later the pesantren, the mosque or anything that needs government assistance already has the certificate," Sofyan said.

Maritime Coordinating Minister Luhut Binsar Pandjaitan said that thousands of certificates that had been distributed were a form of attention from the central government to West Java residents. (*)
