    The Ministry of PUPR is Open to Students for Internships


    BANDUNG - The Ministry of Public Works and Public Housing (PUPR) of the Republic of Indonesia appreciates the Ministry of Research, Technology and Higher Education (Kemenristekdikti), which has collaborated on the placement of students for internships in a number of projects carried out by the Ministry of PUPR.

    Secretary General of the Ministry of PUPR, Anita Firmanti Eko Susetyowati said that the internships carried out by student participants from various universities in Indonesia are very important for the future of all of us.

    "Working together to prepare a building construction workforce will be better in the future, where our current competitiveness position continues to increase, this is driven by infrastructure improvements," said Anita, at the opening ceremony of the Hackathon Day, at the Grand Pasundan Hotel, Monday (04-08) )

    According to Anita, the Ministry of PUPR will continue to build infrastructure according to President Joko Widodo's instructions and this is in dire need of a large number of construction workers.

    "If Rp. 1 trillion is allocated for infrastructure development, 14 thousand workers are needed and we have tens to hundreds of jobs that also require labor," she said.

    Anita stated, the important factors outside the equipment and costs in each success of an infrastructure development are found in human factors, especially the Ministry of Public Works and Housing gets a budget of Rp.110 trillion for various developments, ranging from toll roads, dams, national roads to airports in order to increase connectivity.

    "This internship is also in order to prepare students at the Ministry of PUPR and this is a golden opportunity, because for us, given the SKS, it will have an impact on student learning and this is a golden opportunity for internships in the PUPR ministry," he said. (Parno)
