BANDUNG - The Governor of West Java, Ridwan Kamil, said that the most powerful da'wah is the power of morals. This was conveyed at the Routine Recitation of Majelis Taklim (MT) Pakuan Champion, on Sunday (07/04/2019) morning, in Pakuan Building, Bandung.
"One of the best da'wah in my opinion is morality. For example, we don't memorize many verses, hadiths, but with morals (good) we can be an example," said Governor Ridwan Kamil.
Emil - the governor's best calling - explains that morals are exemplary, which can inspire other individuals to do the same. According to him, besides memorizing the verses of the Al-Qur'an and the hadith of the Prophet, a person can preach with morality, noble mind and character Through behavior, can take sympathy, and can be an example for other individuals.
The governor also gave an example, Ustadz Syamsi Ali who preached in New York, by exemplifying noble characters to people in his environment. Until he became a Muslim who liked his presence in Uncle Sam's country. Even though not a few Americans became converts because they were inspired by him.
"Imam Syamsi Ali has converted many people, most of them not because they have been" discharged "/ advised, but because of their morals," he said.
"So let's preach morally. If we at least prioritize parents, talk good or silent, not 'share' news on social media if it's uncertain," Emil added.
Emil also invited the Jamaah to keep the ukhuwah Islamiyah. Even though there were people who were not included in the Ukhuwah Islamiyah corridor, there were still Ukhuwah Watoniyah, and the Islamic Humanity Association which was binding.
Emil also invited the Jamaah to also use social media that exist today as a medium of propaganda. He also suggested that the Jamaah not to post on social media except positive things.
"When you get the news, try checking it first. How to check it, try to see it on media sites, official news, there is no news, if there is nothing reported in news agencies, we can be sure that the news we can not be shared," he said.
