BANDUNG - Hundreds of students from the Faculty of Social and Political Sciences (FISIP) of the State Islamic University (UIN) of Sunan Gunung Djati (SGD) Bandung participated in the Classy Sohib Warkshop with the theme "Being Socially Media for Peaceful Elections" four in the Main Hall of Social and Political Sciences at UIN SGD Bandung Saturday (06/04).
A number of speakers in the "Classy Sohib Warkshop" included Director of Media Management, Director General of Information and Public Communication, Directorate of Media Management, Ministry of Information and Informatics, Siti Meiningsih, Chairperson of West Java Provincial Election Commission (KPU), Rifqi Alimubarok and Head of Political Science Department UIN SGD with the moderator of the Head of the Public Communication Information Sector (IKP) of the Communication and Information Agency (Diskominfo) of West Java Province, Dedi Dharmawan.
According to Siti Meiningsih, currently in Indonesia there are still many social media spaces (social media) that are used by individuals or certain groups to spread the news which is not necessarily the truth or hoax
"We now have the Ministry of Communication and Information which has the name 'Lambe Hoax' where we check the hoaxes and releases later every day by those of us who hoax news," said Siti, at the Classy Sohib Warkshop "on the UIN SGD Campus, Saturday ( 04/04).
Siti said, the Ministry of Communication and Information currently prioritizes Indonesia more by inviting all people to think well and by filling out social media with positive content.
"The public must check and recheck the news received, do not be quickly affected by the news which is not necessarily true and the community helps by spreading the good news, "she said. (Parno)
