    Facing Lebaran, PT KAI Add 29,456 Seat Every Day


    BANDUNG - Today's interest in using railroad transportation is very high, especially during the 2019 Lebaran transportation, it can be proven by having sold out tickets for favorite trains for homecoming for departures starting from E-7 Lebaran, H-6, and so on, while for the backflow, the departure of H2 + 2 and H2 + 3 Eid is the date of choice for the passengers to return to their hometown during the backflow period.

    PT KAI's Managing Director, Edi Sukmoro said, for people who have been waiting to buy additional train tickets for Eid 2019, starting April 6, 2018 at 00.01 WIB, PT KAI will sell 50 additional train travel tickets, with various routes that are people's favorite.

    "We continue to improve services by adding additional trains to Lebaran 2019 transportation, the number of seats on the Additional Train that will be sold is 29,456 seats per day, an increase of 8% compared to the previous year, which was 27,072 seats in additional trains," he said.

    According to Edi, additional train routes for Lebaran 2019 transportation are the people's favorite routes including departures from Pasar Senen and Gambir Stations to Tegal, Semarang, Purwokerto, Yogyakarta, Solo, Surabaya, Malang, and others.

    "To order additional train tickets, the public can use the KAI Access application, website kai.id, and various other official KAI ticket sales channels with total available seats reaching 247,500 seats, up 5% compared to last year," he said

    Edi added, to improve services to train service users during the Eid transportation period, they will again hold a free takjil distribution program to passengers at large stations and open free sahur to all train passengers (except Local Train).

    "This activity takes place in the last ten days in the fasting month, the purpose is that passengers do not have to bother looking for or preparing food for breaking fast and dawn when they are on their way," Edi said, to reporters at the Bandung Station, Friday (05/04)
