GEM Indonesia is Ready to Support Government Programs through the SE-ASEAN Greatest Green Technology Exhibition

Indonesia is a tropical and agrarian country that greatly supports the development of new renewable energy. In fact, Indonesia can produce 444 thousand MW of renewable energy. However, the use of solar panels is still not optimal, only reaching 78.5 MW of 208 MW produced by solar energy. Seeing this, the 35,000 MW program and electrification in disadvantaged areas are still a concern of the government.

The Ministry of Energy and Mineral Resources (ESDM) noted that the electrification ratio until 2018 reached 98.30% or 66.92% of households. In 2019 the government targets to reach 99.9%. The ESDM Ministry will synergize with PLN to reach homes in remote parts of Indonesia. This is done by providing electricity assistance with the Energy-Saving Solar Energy Lamp (LTSHE) program and the construction of Solar Power Street Lighting (PJU-TS) at various points in remote areas.
Solartech Indonesia 2019, INALIGHT 2019 and Smart Home + City Indonesia 2019.

Solartech Indonesia 2019 is the largest exhibition of solar panel technology in Southeast Asia supported by the Ministry of Energy and Mineral Resources (ESDM). Through this exhibition, ESDM encourages people to use renewable energy, especially Solar Rooftop, where the excess data from the installation of rooftop solar power plants (Rooftop PV) or solar panels can be sold by consumers to the National Electricity Company (PLN) .

The provisions for the sale of excess power are stipulated in the ESDM Ministerial Regulation Number 49 of 2018 concerning the Use of Solar Roof Power Generation Systems by Consumers of PT Perusahaan Listrik Negara (Persero).

The construction of this public road has been using LED Smart Systems lights. With this smart light system it will make it easier for officers to monitor and control the lights remotely. The smart PJU system applies the concept of 'Internet of Things' (IoT) which connects the internet with objects so that it can be controlled or used with wireless devices.

GEM Indonesia continues to show its support for this government program through the implementation of an international scale exhibition that will showcase products and innovations in the fields of solar panels, smart lighting and new renewable energy. Solartech Indonesia 2019, INALIGHT 2019, Smart City Indonesia 2019, INATRONICS 2019 and Cable Indonesia 2019 will take place simultaneously with the Indonesia Renewable Energy Forum 2019. The conference will take the theme "Empowering Solar Energy for Indonesia's Energy Sustainability" where experts will attend which will discuss the development of solar markets in Indonesia.
