BANDUNG - Located in the West Hall of Gedung Sate, West Java Governor Ridwan Kamil launched the Patriot Desa Digital program on Monday (1/4). Attended the launch of Telkomsel Director of Human Capital, Irfan Tachrir and Head of the Dedi Supandi Village Community Empowerment Service.
This Digital Village Patriot will be built in five cities that Bandung will be the first city. Next will be made in Jakarta, Makassar, Surabaya and Medan. This program will form a digital village community that is able to increase the economic, social and political empowerment of its people.
In his speech, Governor Emil said that in West Java this program would be aimed at 500 villages, with priorities in border villages. He hopes the village will have good digital access with the construction of Telkomsel operator towers.
"We have faced 4.0, the village must also take part. Digitizing the villages can also be a way to reduce inequality, especially us and the village," he said.
Emil also stated that this year at least 5,000 villages in West Java already have social media accounts. The aim is to promote village potential as well as news from the village.
"So if you see beautiful photos in the village, waterfalls, then there will be tourists who will come, then maybe that can help. You can promote village products online, "he said," he said.
Meanwhile Irfan Tachrir said that now Telkomsel has guaranteed that there are fewer blank spot areas in West Java.
"I think 95 percent of Telkomsel has covered the signal in West Java. Maybe we will strengthen it at the border," he explained.
He said the program was an aid through the company's CSR program. It is hoped that in the future there will be a digital village community that can improve the village economy.
