    BJB Bank's profit in 2018 reached 1.55 Trillion


    JAKARTA - In the midst of economic uncertainty and challenges in 2018 such as the rising interest rate, bank bjb was able to record a number of positive growth in 2018. This positive record can be seen from the achievement of net income of Rp1.55 trillion or growing 28.1% year on year (yoy) or above the growth of the banking industry net profit as of December 2018 which was 10.36% yoy. Total assets were recorded to amount to Rp120.1 trillion, which was originally Rp114.9 trillion (grew 4.5% y-o-y).

    Third Party Funds (TPF) were raised by Rp87 trillion which was driven by the growth of low-cost funds, namely savings of 16%, so that the CASA Ratio rose from 46.1% to 47.1%. This was disclosed by Agus Mulyana as Director of Compliance and Risk Management who carried out the duties of Managing Director of the bank bjb when announcing the financial performance of the Full Year Company in 2018 at the Ballroom 3A at Ritz Carlton Pacific Palace Hotel, Friday (03/29/19).

    During the performance presentation, it was found that Net Interest Income had managed to grow by 3.3% y-o-y, Fee Based Income managed to grow by 14% y-o-y. As a banking institution that runs intermediation, bank bjb also managed to record a fairly good credit growth which reached 75.3 trillion or managed to grow by 6.1% y-o-y. Credit quality has been well maintained where the NPL ratio can stay at 1.6% or better than the banking industry's NPL ratio of 2.37%. The NPL level was successfully maintained at the level of 1.6% or at the bank bjb target range of 1.5% - 2.0%.

    To support business growth and the implementation of one of its missions, namely as a driver and driver of the pace of the regional economy as well as a commitment to continue supporting Government programs as a tangible manifestation of agent of development, bank bjb in collaboration with the West Java Provincial Government launched the One Village One Company (OVOC) program . The products in the Samsat J’bret program include E-Samsat and T-Samsat, namely the payment of motor vehicle tax using bank bjb products.

    Agus further revealed that the bank bjb was determined to always improve and maintain the company's performance that had been achieved by the end of 2018. "We are ready and optimistic to provide and produce better performance in 2019 to bank bjb customers in developing a better banking business, and it is expected that bank bjb will always exist in the future to be able to enter the ranks of the top 10 national banks that are performing good, "he said.

    For the positive performance achieved by the Company, until the 4th quarter the bank bjb managed to get several awards including the GCG award from the IICD (Indonesian Institute for Corporate Directorship) for category 50 public companies, Top BUMD 2018 from Business News Indonesia Magazine, Asean Best Public Companies 2018 ranks 14th from Stren Value Management, Predicate "Very Good" for financial performance from Infobank Magazine.
