BANDUNG - A number of elected scholars in West Java will receive English training. This program was implemented in collaboration with the West Java Provincial Government with the British Council which was launched at Gedung Sate on Thursday (3/28/2019).
West Java Deputy Governor Uu Ruzhanul Ulum said that all this time the clerics were fluent in Arabic but other foreign languages needed to be mastered. The goal is to make preaching to other citizens, including citizens of the world.
"English is needed so that da'wah can be more widely implemented," Uu said after the launch.
He said for the first phase as many as 40 scholars will receive training in English. The duration of training ranges from 11 days as well as in the form of course activities.
"Later more and more scholars can speak English, so of course they can do preaching to the whole world," said Deputy Governor Uu Ruzhanul Ulum. jo
