BANDUNG-Consumers in buying goods or enjoying food and drinks will be more calm if the products sold have halal certificates, so the West Java Provincial Government will continue to encourage MSMEs to take care of halal certificates to LPOM MUI.
West Java Governor Ridwan Kamil said Indonesia as a country with a Muslim population provided a great opportunity for Indonesia to become a key player in the world's halal industry.
"We want that with the presence of this halal center consortium, certification services to the community will be faster. There will be division of tasks and jobs, so that West Java can be more calm, "he said.
He himself hopes that many companies will help MSMEs in obtaining halal certificates. For example, in early January, as many as 300 MSMEs in West Java received halal certificates for free, because they were assisted by BJB Bank funding.
"I appeal to the public before launching their products, first managing halal certificates, we have facilitated the establishment of this consortium. Can be faster. So it also provides comfort and safety to consumers, "he said.
He also said that he would make Minilab that can be mobile to go to traditional market locations. The goal is of course to provide comfort and security for buyers. tgh
