BANDUNG - West Java Governor Ridwan Kamil again reminded the public to be careful when borrowing funds from fund providers through online or fintech. This was revealed by the Governor during a speech at the peak of the commemoration of the national consumer day in Bandung on Tuesday (01/20/2019), which was attended by RI trade minister Enggartiasto Lukita.
"Many cases if the credit is stalled, the party who lends the funds posts a photo of the person who borrowed, then also broadcasts the bill to the borrowing colleague," he said.
I begged this to be a concern of the government, because if that were the case then it would be no different from moneylenders.
"It's the same, only the difference is through online channels. So this is tantamount to online moneylenders. That's the dark side of information technology that must be watched out and addressed," he said.
The community was also asked to be aware of such practices, so as not to get caught up in the vortex of online moneylenders.
"Indeed, they lend funds with easy conditions and a fast process. But when there is a delay or credit is stalled, finally it does, humiliated," Emil said. (Even)
