BANDUNG - To prepare the young generation of Indonesia ready to face the era of industrial revolution 4.0, Indosat Ooredoo Business presents Future Digital Economy Lab.
The laboratory aims to be a forum for developing innovation, strengthening resources and producing various use cases based on IoT that can be produced domestically to improve the nation's economy and create business opportunities in various industries.
The laboratory was inaugurated by the Minister of Industry Erlangga Hartarto and was attended by ITB Chancellor Kadarsyah Suryadi and Indosat Officials on Monday (03/18/2019).

With the resources we have, we want to build a digital economy future ecosystem and become a liaison for stakeholders of diverse the field through the Future Digital Economy Lab. We hope that this laboratory can be a place to collaborate to develop ideas for innovation, incubate appropriate use cases based on IoT that can improve the nation's independent economy towards the world's 5 economic powers, "said President Director 8: CEO of Indosat Ooredoo Chris Kanter.
Indosat Ooredoo Business presents Future Digital Economy Lab, the first at the Bandung Institute of Technology called IoT Innovation 8: Future Digital Economy Lab, which was inaugurated by the Indonesian Minister of Industry, Airlangga Hartarto. The program will be continued through collaboration with Bina Nusantara University, Surabaya Nahdlatul Ulama University, Atma Jaya Catholic University of Indonesia, Triiogi University, STIE PERBANAS, President University, Prasetiya Muiya University, November Institute of Technology, and Udayana University which can be a means of learning and development of awareness-based digital talent by learning by doing.
Indosat Ooredoo Business itself consistently takes an active role in providing digital infrastructure that is complete from effective connectivity, ICT services, platforms and applications with the latest technology in the implementation of emerging digital technology trends. Digital transformation in Indonesia was also encouraged through various government initiatives including Smartcity 8L Making Indonesia 4.0. The importance of the role of ICT especially the Internet of Things (IoT) requires collective, effective and sustainable cooperation among stakeholders such as the telecommunications industry, academia, business world as well as SMEs, creative economy, technology vendors, government elements and communities to face increasingly high challenges and create opportunities growing from the presence of technological evolution.
Future Digital Economy Lab is expected to be able to produce innovative ideas, design product references and solutions to answer IoT cases that can be developed on an industrial scale for various needs, such as product development, service, manufacturing, marketing, and others.
In addition, digital talent development and future economy incubation programs can also be produced in this laboratory. This container can also be a place for testing various IoT devices and sandboxes to get device certification, produce intellectual property for domestic children, certify resources and meet producers and users.
