BANDUNG - Facing a disruptive era, PLN seeks to capture the best young talents in order to continue to grow and compete internationally, this is implemented through the PLN Employer Branding program held in the West Hall of the ITB campus, Bandung (9/3).
ITB Deputy Rector for Research, Innovation and Partnership Prof. Dr. Ir. In his speech, Bambang Riyanto Trilaksono hoped that an event like this could provide provisions for students to get to know the wider world, especially in welcoming the world of work.
"Through events like this, students can certainly find out more about PLN from the direct perspective of PLN's millennials, and also get future insights about the world of electricity," said Bambang Riyanto.
This program shows how the millennial spirit becomes an important point to consider in a career at PLN. Led by the Director of PLN's Human Capital Management Muhammad Ali as the Casting Director, the Employer Branding program is filled with young talents / millennial PLN from various units throughout Indonesia who present millennial-style presentations.
Sharing the experiences of PLN's young talents in building Indonesia, ranging from office work to social activities such as being the front guard in the recovery of post-disaster cities, participating in lighting up Papua, to helping build social places such as mosques, nursing homes and others through PLN's CSR program and employee volunteer program.
"So it is not only telling you how to work in the generation, transmission and distribution sectors, through this program the PLN millennial talents tell how to work at PLN not only as a place to look for wages, but about meaning. How the work of electrifying the Archipelago is very influential on the livelihoods of many people, "said Ali.
The event continued with the general lecture of Studium Generale (SG) ITB with the speaker of PLN Central Java Regional Business Director Amir Rosidin who explained about Electricity Future Insight, along with Energy Experts from ITB Prof. Doctor Ir Suwarno, M.T as moderator.
Prof. Suwarno explained that through this event it was shown that PLN had arrived with more fresh packaging full of optimism.
"PLN is a BUMN with the largest assets in Indonesia, 1355 trillion rupiahs with the task of lighting up all of Indonesia, here PLN is here to spread energy optimism and productivity in building Indonesia," Suwarno said.
While Amir Rosidin at the event also said that in the face of a disruptive era, PLN needs the best millennial talents to take part to play with PLN in Indonesia's development.
"PLN will continue to innovate, therefore PLN needs the best millennial talents to join PLN, as a state-owned electricity provider, PLN becomes a company that will increasingly play a role in the future. To be a very appropriate company for young talents to be able to work, therefore let's join with PLN, "concluded Amir who was greeted by enthusiasm from the students.
PLN Employer Branding is a new idea that has never been done by any BUMN in capturing young talents with a concept of performance branding presentation carried out by PLN's millennial employees directly.
It is hoped that through this program, students will gain insight into how enjoyable their career is at PLN, building Indonesia with an optimistic energy spirit.
