Massive Flight at BIJB, West Java Secretary Urges State Civil Apparatus to Start Switching to Kertajati

MAJALENGKA REGENCY - Regional Secretary of West Java Province (Secretary of West Java) Iwa Karniwa appealed to all State Civil Apparatus (ASN) in the West Java Provincial Government to switch flights to West Java International Airport (BIJB) Kertajati. This step is to ensure the movement of socialization of flight services at BIJB.

Iwa admitted, his party had begun to direct government agencies, even their own families, to start using flight services to and from BIJB. In addition, Iwa emphasized that the optimization of flight services can also be started from the Cirebon, Indramayu, Majalengka and Kuningan (Ciayumajakuning) regions, with a population of 15 million.

"On this occasion we do massive socialization, starting with ourselves. I also ordered almost 57,000 State Civil Apparatus to use this airport as a flight service from Kertajati to a place and vice versa, "Iwa said when met after inaugurating the Flight Services Socialization Event through Kertajati Airport to Regional Device Organizations in Ciayumajakuning and Surroundings, at the BIJB Regency Majalengka on Friday (03/08/19).

"So we should to contribute. Moreover, the West Java State Civil Apparatus now has this airport because there are as many as two percent of shares," he said.

"Actually we can optimize in the Ciayumajakuning region where the population is 15 million. So Indramayu Regency, Cirebon Regency, Cirebon City, Majalengka Regency, Kuningan and Sumedang can utilize this airport optimally, "he added.

The BIJB optimization efforts did not just stop at socialization, Iwa Regional Secretary also explained that the West Java Provincial Government continued to accelerate the construction of infrastructure facilities, such as the Cileunyi-Sumedang-Dawuan (Cisumdawu) toll road. According to him, this Cisumdawu toll road can be a trigger for the development of BIJB, because it can reach the community of the Greater Bandung metropolitan area.

Iwa said, currently the construction of the one session Cisumdawu toll road (Cileunyi-Rancakalong), session two (Rancakalong-Sumedang) and session three (Sumedang-Cimalaka) are under construction. It is expected that the Cisumdawu toll road will be completed in September 2019 and can be used to increase public interest in using BIJB.

"We also encourage the completion of various infrastructure facilities, including the Cileunyi-Sumedang-Dawuan toll road. It is expected that September 2019 can be completed. This may be one of the triggering factors which later when completed, Cileunyi-Sumedang-Dawuan can be reached for 45 minutes, because only 61 km, "said Iwa.

This socialization also introduced technology for selfie at airport locations using the Informative Digital Information (IDI) screen, which can be directly uploaded to each social media, with the hashtag #ASNRamaikanKertajati added.

Unmitigated, this socialization was attended directly by the leaders of the Kasepuhan Sultanate, Kanoman, Kacirebonan and Kaprabonan Sultanate, Deputy Regent of Majalengka, PHRI leaders, ASITA, Muslim Association of Hajj and Umrah Organizers, as well as representatives of other regional leaders.

Deputy Regent of Majalengka Tarsono D Mardiana realizes that Kertajati Airport cannot stand alone without multi-stakeholder support. So that the Regional Government must continue to provide support by completing infrastructure and maximizing the potential possessed like other tourism.

"The purpose of this airport is to improve the economy of West Java, especially Majalengka. So that we understand, where the Regional Government continues to make improvements by building supporting infrastructure," explained Tarsono.

"We who have superior tourism potential will also open the gate of investors as an attraction. We will not be complicated, because we want Majalengka to become a new growth center with the existence of this Kertajati," he continued.

Director of PT BIJB M Singgih said there were 11 flight routes from five airlines that were served from Kertajati Airport. The route goes to Surabaya, Medan, Jakarta, Yogyakarta, Semarang, Lampung, Palembang, Balikpapan and Tarakan. New international flights for Umrah trips.

"If filling can be consistent with this high load factor, it will certainly be consistent in carrying out flights every day. But we are optimistic that this socialization will increase load factor," Singgih said.
