BANDUNG - The Indonesian Federation of Midwives is requesting the attention of the West Java Provincial Government. Expected attention is a matter of status and welfare. This was revealed when more than 400 midwives joined in 3 midwife organizations met with the Deputy Governor of West Java Uu Ruzanul Ulum in Gedung Sate, Thursday afternoon (2/28/2019) According to the Chairperson of the Indonesian Midwife Federation Midwife Lilik Dian Ekasari she was grateful good from the Deputy Governor.
"Alhamdulillah, we had already conveyed our anxiety about the midwives, and the Vice Governor promised to work according to the authority of the West Java Province," he said.
According to Lilik, the midwife is not only helping the birth process of pregnant women but has expanded to treatment problems.
"In the village midwives have many tasks besides helping birth. Adabyang treats sick children, counseling and others. But the award for midwives is still very small, especially midwives who are still honorary village midwives" explained Lilik.
In West Java, according to Lilik, most of the midwives were in such conditions. Not better than other regions. Therefore the organization presents this matter to the Vice Governor. (Even)
