BANDUNG - Since it was first launched, Galunggung Train (Kiaracondong - Tasikmalaya PP) and Pangandaran Train (Gambir - Bandung - Banjar PP) continue to be the mainstay of the community for transportation facilities for the route with an average occupancy per day, KA Galunggung reaches 89% while passenger occupancy rate, Pangandaran train for Gambir - Bandung - Banjar relations and vice versa the average is 146%.
To serve more passengers, KAI extends the promo period of Rp. 0, - the previous Galunggung train is only up to February 25, 2019 and the promo period is Rp. 1, Pangandaran Train which was previously only until February 28, 2019 until March 31, 2019.
In the case of Galunggung train ticket reservations, prospective passengers can only do so at the station counter that is crossed by the Galunggung train on go-show days and ticket reservations must be made by filling in the identity number on the blank provided.
Whereas for Pangandaran train ticket reservations, still refer to the following details:
- Gambir-Banjar (pp): Executive Class Rp. 150,000, - and Premium Economy Class Rp. 110,000, - (Equivalent to Tariff Argo Parahyangan, Bandung-Gambir (pp). Reservations can be made from H-30 on KAI Access, KAI Web, and all other official KAI sales channels;
- Bandung-Banjar (pp): Executive Class and Premium Economy Rp. 1, -. Reservations can only be made at the station counter on the day of departure (Go Show). Each messenger is limited to a maximum of 4 tickets;
- Continued Transportation Cibatu-Garut pp is still provided by KAI for free. Passengers only need to buy tickets for the Gambir-Garut relation and will get free Freight services for free from Cibatu Station to Garut or vice versa.
Joni Martinus, PT KAI's Public Relations Manager at Operations Area 2, said that the extension of the Galunggung train service and Pangandaran train is one form of appreciation to loyal train customers at the same time in an effort to increase people's love for rail transportation and help tourism in the South West Java region.
