BANDUNG - The West Java Provincial Government together with the Ministry of Public Works and Public Housing discussed the plan to construct a new toll road section for Pasirkoja-Surapati, Bandung or North South Link (NS Link).

The meeting attended by West Java Secretary Iwa Karniwa representing the Governor of West Java Ridwan Kamil discussed the planned toll that was included in the revision of the West Java spatial and territorial planning (RTRW) plan. The meeting was held at the RR Director General of Highways, South Jakarta, Tuesday (2/26/19).

The Secretary said that the embodiment of the toll road called NS Link must be discussed with the Ministry of PUPR as a joint evaluation material.

"Because the toll road is three parties, the Ministry of Public Works and Public Housing, the West Java Provincial Government, and the Bandung City Government are the beneficiaries," he said.

Secretary Iwa ensured that in the revision of the West Java RTRW, the construction of toll roads in the city would be integrated with the construction of the Bandung Intra Urban Toll Road (BIUTR) and the Bandung Raya Light Rail Transit (LRT) project.

The toll road initiated by PT Citra Marga Nusapala Persada (CMNP) through PT Jasa Sarana's BUMD has been accommodated in revising the West Java RTRW.

According to him, the section which is the connection of the Soreang-Pasirkoja (Soroja) Toll Road will be encouraged by the West Java Provincial Government to anticipate the growth of the number of vehicles reaching 12% every year, especially in the city of Bandung. "This toll road facilitates the movement of people and goods, especially from the South," he said.

In the meeting the Secretary was accompanied by Regional Assistant for Economic and Development of West Java Eddy Nasution, Head of West Java Transportation Service Deddi Taufik and Head of West Java Regional Development Planning Agency Taufiq Budi Santoso.

In addition to discussing the NS-Links toll road plan in the revision of the 2009-2029 West Java RTRW, the development of the transportation network system includes the construction of other highways such as; Toll Development in Soreang-Pasirkoja City; Soreang-Ciwidey Toll; Bandung Raya North Ring Toll; Padalarang-Nanjung-Cipatik-Soreang-Banjaran-Arjasari-Majalaya-Cicalengka-Nagreg; Padalarang-Cimareme and other toll road development / development as determined by the Government.
