BOGOR CITY - Bogor City Government along with a number of community elements held the Bogor Street Festival (BSF) Cap Go Meh (CGM) 2019 which was the culmination of the Chinese New Year celebration which took place at Jalan Surya Kencana, Bogor Tengah, Bogor City.
The Mayor of Bogor, Bima Arya said, BSF is a form of effort to maintain diversity in Bogor for Indonesia with full support of the community as evidenced by the enthusiasm of the residents who came to show their willingness to maintain a diverse cultural heritage.
"This is not just about culture or hanha about ceremonies, but it is about values ??that we believe in from time to time, passed down and we keep going forward, together in diversity, different is inevitability, variety is a necessity, but together we must strive , "he said.
Meanwhile, West Java Governor Ridwan Kamil stated that he was very supportive of the holding of this event and at the same time expressed his gratitude to the Indonesian Ministry of Tourism (Kemenpar) who fully supported this event.
"Thank you to Kemenpar, because this agenda will be used as a national agenda. This agenda is not only the responsibility of Bogor City, but will be the responsibility of West Java Province, "said the Governor, when opening BSF-CGM 2019, on Jalan Surya Kencana, Bogor Tengah, Bogor City, Tuesday (19/02) night .
This activity also received a positive response from the Ministry of Tourism (Kemenpar). In fact, Kemenpar proposes Bogor Street Festival as a national agenda held every year.
Minister of Tourism (Menpar) Arief Yahya said, this festival became the stage of 'campaign' diversity and tolerance, where all tourism potential possessed by the city of Bogor could also be optimally compared with the hope that community welfare would increase through the income of tourist activity transactions.
