BANJAR - Today the city of Banjar is 16 years old. Since becoming an autonomous city on February 21, 2003, the city with a population of nearly 200 thousand people has experienced an increase in both infrastructure and community welfare. Even Banjar is the only area in West Java that has received the title of Unqualified Opinion (WTP) eight times in a row.
Deputy Governor of West Java Uu Ruzhanul ulum rate, the Banjar community has felt a change that means the fruits of hard work of the Mayor's leadership and ranks. As a leader in West Java, Uu said he was proud to own the City of Banjar with a myriad of awards.
"This Banjar is getting stronger, it is proven that there are many awards that have been received, especially in managing the budget for 8 times. The WTP has been extraordinary in other areas. I think the community feels it too," Uu said after attending Banjar City's 16th anniversary celebration. in the field of Banjar Bhakti, Wednesday (2/20/19).
On the other hand, according to Uu, there are still many potentials that can be developed to boost Regional Original Income (PAD), one of which is from the tourism sector. Uu hopes that it will not only become a tourism crossing towards Pangandaran, but the Banjar must be able to lift the potential of natural and cultural tourism destinations.
"Tourism potential must be increased, including tourism infrastructure. Even though there are Pangandaran, Banjar must not miss it. Banjar should not just cross it," hoped Uu.
The Mayor of Banjar, Ade Uu Sukaesih, said that there was still development PR that had not yet been realized. In the second period of his leadership, Ade invited all parties including the community together to work together and collaborate to realize the vision and mission of the city of Banjar.
"There is still a lot of homework in the future, hopefully with unity, let's continue along with the Banjar development. This is my second period in an effort to improve people's welfare," he said.
2019 is the transition year of the transition period of the 2014-2019 Banjar Regional Medium-Term Development Plan (RPJMD). Ade said, the policy direction of the Banjar City Government in 2019 refers to the 2005-2025 Regional Long Term Development Plan (RPJPD) document.
Banjar is an agropolitan city. The condition of its economic activities based on agribusiness, agro-industry and agro-tourism, makes the City which is the entrance to the southern part of West Java from Central Java as a distribution center for agricultural products or services.
"There are 6 Banjar missions, namely increasing the administration of professional and accountable government, improving the quality of human resources, increasing the rate of economic growth, realizing cities concerned about human rights, improving environmental quality and developing regional attractiveness and potential," Ade said.
At the end of the Banjar 16th anniversary commemoration ceremony, Deputy Governor of Uu and Mayor of Banjar released a group of trucks carrying Rastra rice to be distributed to the Banjar community.
