Tambourine Triangles Will Become Advanced & Futuristic Regions in West Java

BANDUNG - The Regional Government of West Java Province will combine three regions, namely Patimban, Kertajati and Cirebon to become special areas which are named Tambourine Triangle (Cirebon, Patimban, Kertajati). Later, this triangle will be the most advanced and futuristic region in West Java.

This was stated by West Java Governor Ridwan Kamil after the Leadership Meeting with the head of the OPD at Gedung Sate Bandung, Monday (11/2/19).

"We will soon release the Tambourine Triangle, Cirebon-Patimban-Kertajati, this will be the most advanced and futuristic region in the future," Emil said, calling on the Governor.

It is still reviewing the total area of the Tambourine Triangle. But Emil said, West Java International Airport (BIJB) Kertajati is the southernmost limit, the northern boundary of Patimban Port and east of Cirebon Port.

"The area of the triangle is still being studied for the main border from Kertajati in the south, the north of Patimban Port and the east of Cirebon Port," he explained.

If the Tambourine Triangle has been realized, Emil has asked all labor-intensive industries along the Citarum watershed to move to the area. He also has coordinated with the chairman of Apindo Jabar and met with entrepreneurs some time ago regarding this matter. That way it will have an impact on the loss of waste pollution in the Citarum watershed.

"So industries, especially labor-intensive ones, will be moved there and we have talked to Apindo, so factories along Citarum will be moved there," Emil explained.

This Tambourine Triangle area will also be sought to become a Special Economic Zone or Special Economic Zone (SEZ). So that the budget will be fully supported by the State Budget. Even this will make it easier for industrial and tax licensing processes.

"We will fight for becoming SEZs so that (the use of) the state budget, licensing, taxation can be much better and more profitable. We expect thousands of industries to move to that triangle," he said.

Planned, Tambourine Triangle will be realized in 2021.

"This year we are starting a planning study, the construction is likely next year so that in the third year it has started," Emil said.
