    West Java's Economy in 2018 Grew by 5.64 Percent

    BANDUNG - West Java's economy in 2018 grew by 5.64 percent compared to 2017 at 5.35 percent. In terms of production, the highest growth was achieved by Real Estate Businesses at 9.64 percent. In terms of expenditure, the highest growth was achieved by the Output of the LNPRT Consumption Component of 16.38 percent.

    Head of West Java Regional Accounts and Statistics Asep Riyadi said the economy of West Java in 2018 as measured by Brute Domestic Products at current prices reached Rp 1,962.23 trillion and per capita GRDP reached Rp 40.31 million.

    "West Java's economy in quarter lV-2018 if compared to the fourth quarter of 2017 (y-on-y) grew by 5.50 percent. In terms of production, the highest growth was achieved by Agriculture, Forestry and Fisheries Business Fields which grew by 13.49 percent. In terms of expenditure, the highest growth occurred in the LNPRT Consumption Expenditure Component which grew 11.43 percent, "he said Wednesday (6/2).

    West Java economy lV quarter-2018 experienced a contraction of minus 0.47 percent compared to the previous quarter (q-to-q). In terms of production, this was due to seasonal effects on the Agriculture, Forestry and Fisheries business fields which decreased by minus 26.99 percent. Meanwhile, in terms of expenditure contraction occurs in the Component of Export of Goods and Services minus 1.39 percent and Inventory Change Component at minus 1.20 percent.

    The source of the growth rate (Source of Growth, SOG) in 2018 in terms of the business field that contributed the biggest growth was the Manufacturing Industry Business Sector, which was 2.80 percent. In terms of expenditure, the biggest positive contribution to growth was the component of Household Consumption Expenditure (PKRT) of 3.13 percent. jo
