BANDUNG - Part of the efforts to support environmental sustainability, PT Reska Multi Usaha, a subsidiary of PT Kereta Api Indonesia (Persero), is innovating to improve service and business development.
Titled "Environmentally Friendly Reska" Reska launched the Go Green program in the form of changing all food packaging, which originally used plastic-based packaging to paper-based packaging or Green Pack,
Acting President Director of PT RMU Muhammad Sahli said, in one year, it could produce around 2.3 million food portions, and if using plastic-based packaging, more plastic waste production would be produced.
"It is conceivable that this plastic waste can only be decomposed in a minimum of 500 years, this change is our concrete step to support environmental sustainability," Sahli said, told reporters at the Bandung Station on Friday (01/25).
In addition to launching Green Pack, as a form of caring for others, PT RMU in collaboration with Dompet Dhuafa Foundation presents a "Reska Berbagi" program, where every purchase of food products on a specially marked train means donating Rp. 1,000 to a mobile kitchen intended for disaster area or underprivileged community.
On this occasion, PT RMU also introduced a new program Exploring Indonesia Culinary On Train, to invite customers to enjoy Indonesian culinary offerings on train trips with new menus including Duck Major, Rawon Fried Rice, Empal Gentong Mang Aye, Nasi Rawon Cak Bari and various swiwi (chicken wings) with flavor variants.
PT RMU also officially opened the construction of the Loko Café in the North Bandung Station area by laying the first stone and signing the inscription by the President Director of PT KAI, after being successful in Yogyakarta, Surabaya and Jakarta. (Parno)
