BANDUNG - The case of Dangue Hemorrhagic Fever (DHF) that is being treated at Hasan Sadikin Hospital (RSHS) in Bandung is currently increasing than usual, which reached 50 people during the month of January 2019 or increased five times compared to the average of each month.
Responding to the problem, the Head of the Infection Division of the RSHS Children's Medical Staff Bandung, Djatnika Setiabudi appealed to the community to understand the symptoms of DHF and immediately bring patients to the hospital.
"Symptoms of DHF are sudden high fever continuously for 2-7 days, but of course we benchmark it more than 2x24 hours, especially if accompanied by nausea, vomiting, abdominal pain and other diseases are not clear," he said.
According to Djatnika, if the symptoms occur 2x24 jan and accompanied by pain to be immediately taken to the nearest hospital or health facility to get immediate treatment.
"We will find out about DHF or not from the results of blood tests, the initial treatment is of course if the child with fever who is given a lot of drinking is often beneficial, first it can accelerate down the temperature and immediately bring it to a health facility," he said. (Parno)
