    Jokowi to Review Cisumdawu Project

    Sumedang-West Java Governor Ahmad Heryawan accompanied the President of the Republic of Indonesia Joko Widodo in reviewing the progress of Cileunyi-Sumedang-Dawuan-Cusumdawu Toll Road Projects at the Rancakalong interchange, Citali Village, District Pamulihan, Sumedang regency, on Thursday (17/3).

    President Jokowi explained that the  60 kilometers Cisumdawu toll road is part of the Trans Java toll road in West Java which also connecting the Padaleunyi toll road and  palimanan-Kanci toll road. It's totally use the whole land area of 825 hectares.

    West Java Governor Ahmad Heryawan has been doing groundbreaking its toll road project on November 29, 2011.

    In addition, Cisumdawu also will include 472 meter of long tunnel which is located in the Cilengsar hills, Rancakalong Village, Sumedang District. It was built by Chinese contractors named Metallurgy Corporation of China (MCC).

    "This highway of Cileunyi to Dawuan is close to the Kertajati airport with the length of 60 km, and it will be completed in 2018. It has a heavy terrain with unstable soil, up and down, so it was ganged together with private and state enterprise," said President Jokowi at the Project site.

    "There is also a tunnel of 472 meters which is still under construction. Then it could be used later in 2018," he added.

    For the processing it divided into 6 stages. Among them are the stages  of Cileunyi-Tanjungsari along 12 km, the stage of Sumedang-Tanjungsari along 17,51 km, the stage of Sumedang-Cimalaka along 3.73 km, the stage of Legok-Cimalaka along 6.96 km, the stage of Legok-Ujungjaya along 16.35 km, then the stage of Ujungjaya-Kertajati along 4.0 km.

    "I am here to monitor, check and to see if there is any problems during in the field," said Jokowi.
