BANDUNG REGENCY - Governor of West Java Ridwan Kamil (Emil) is looking for technology to detect the arrival of tornadoes. However, he said, to his knowledge there was no such technology.
"So I urge academics to innovate in looking for that technology," Emil said when reviewing the tornado affected area in Jelegong, Rancaekek, Bandung Regency on Monday (1/14/2019).
Even so, Emil told residents about indicators that characterize the arrival of a tornado. First if the weather is sunny and suddenly dark, or when the weather is hot and suddenly cold.
"If the two indicators occur, people should be alert and ready to look for the safest place," he explained.
To note, in West Java there are 1,500 disasters per year, or around 100 disasters per month even three times per day. (Even)
