BANDUNG-Police Chief General Pol. Tito Karnavian plans to establish a special task force or Social Assistance Task Force tasked with overseeing the distribution of funds for the poor.
"At the national level a Social Security Task Force will be formed, immediately led by a two-star general and will conduct technical discussions with the Ministry of Social Affairs or those appointed," he said through a video conference witnessed by the West Java Regional Police Chief and West Java governor from West Java Regional Police Headquarters, Sukarno Hatta Bandung, Friday (11 / 1).
He hopes that the provision of social assistance will run smoothly and right on target, not to even backfire. The National Police must secure the distribution process so that no one has the right to receive assistance.
"Later there will be those who claim to be poor, then protest. So we also ask for data to be clear," he said.
He asserted that if the task force had been formed, the area starting from the provincial level to the regency's DNA should also immediately form a regional social security task force.
"We will also help disseminate this program through the police station so that people know," he said.
While West Java Governor Ridwan Kamil said that as long as everything is done together and together, any program will be successful.
"We are excited to continue sewing cross-agency unity. Our Citarum is with the TNI and now the National Police is to channel social assistance," he said.
Kang Emil, as he is familiarly called, said that for West Java the number of families benefiting from social assistance for the PKH program reached 1.6 million, while funding for replacing raskin or BPNT reached 2.5 million households.
"It's like sugar, the problem is which ants will approach. That's where the important role of the police is to guard the right target and number. Beware of modes that will harm beneficiaries," he said. Jo
