BANDUNG - Deputy Governor of West Java, Uu Ruzhanul Ulum asked the Consumer Cooperative of Prosperous Praja (KKPS) to continue innovating in order to increase profits and for the welfare of its members.
"Then our hope is not to stop there, there will continue to be other innovations," West Java Deputy Governor Uu Ruzhanul said at the Opening of the Annual Member Meeting (RAT) of the 2018 Book Year, at Bale Asri Pusdai, West Java, on Thursday (10 / 01/19).
The Deputy Governor of West Java appreciated the success of the KKK which consisted of 13,000 West Java Provincial Civil Apparatus (ASN), because it had officially owned shares in PT Bandarudara Internasional West Java (BIJB).
Uu considers this participation to be very profitable. Because, it is quite rare for a cooperative, let alone only four years old, but can already buy shares in a company as prestigious as PT BIJB. Uu said that it was even more remarkable that KKPS achievements at a young age had been able to give birth to four subsidiaries.
"Maybe this is because of professionalism and other criteria that are owned so that the KPPS is going forward," said Uu.
In addition, Uu also appreciates KKPS for saving its funds in Islamic banks, namely Sharia bjb Bank. Furthermore, Uu hopes that KKPS can also pay more attention to the fate of poor people such as orphans, orphans, orphans, and santri especially those who are religious through CSR funds.
"And that, thank God, it has been shown on today's program that there is compensation for the santri and orphans. Our hope is that the students who are given compensation are not only school students, but also salafiyah santri, because if the students have BOS funds from the government," he said.
Meanwhile, the Regional Secretary (Sekda) of West Java Province, as well as the Chair of the KKPS, Iwa Karniwa, said the West Java Praja Sejahtera Consumer Cooperative (KKPS) has managed to record a profit of Rp.4.9 billion in 2018.
"Alhamdulillah, KKPS in the last three years has continued to be profitable. "Profit in 2016 was Rp. 356 million, in 2017 Rp. 3.2 billion, in 2018 profit was Rp. 4.9 billion," said Iwa Karniwa.
According to Iwa, all work programs in 2018 were successfully achieved according to the target. One of them is the planned purchase of shares of PT BIJB Kertajati.
KPPS, has submitted a bid at the General Meeting of Shareholders (AGM) of PT BIJB which was held last December 26, 2018. Where at the meeting, it was agreed to release 2.26 percent share ownership, or equivalent to Rp51 billion in KKPS.
"Half of the purchase funds are requested to be deposited at the latest two weeks after the GMS. While the rest will be deposited in December 2019, "said Iwa.
Meanwhile, KKPS went through two board meetings, most recently at the KKPS management meeting on January 3, 2018, it was decided to deposit Rp. 25,875 billion, to purchase 1.13 percent of PT BIJB's shares.
"The share ownership marks the official West Java ASN cooperative as a shareholder of PT BIJB," he said.
Iwa is also optimistic that the fund to buy shares can return with multiple values, after PT BIJB benefited. Even the benefits can be directly felt by members of cooperatives by distributing Remaining Business Results (SHU).
"This is part of the cooperative work program, where the cooperative wants to be big. If you want big, the activity is not enough just to serve members through savings and loans, but must go into business but can produce, "he said.
Iwa also mentioned that the target of the KKPS assets in 2018 is Rp. 100 billion. While currently it has been exceeded with the realization of assets of Rp.117.8 billion. Revenue realization in 2018 has increased from Rp. 4.3 billion in 2017 to Rp. 5.9 billion in 2018.
Whereas for Remaining Operating Results (SHU) 2018 is Rp. 3.8 billion. This number experienced a slight increase compared to 2017 which reached Rp. 3.1 billion. Along with that achievement, Iwa targets in 2019, West Java KPPS to be able to target assets of up to Rp. 119.2 billion.
"With the right business calculations, we are optimistic that this target can be realized," he said.
Also in 2018, Iwa said there were several work programs that had been carried out by his party. Some of them are stock exploration in Jamkrida, exploration of retail and property businesses, creating a financial application system, website and member service applications via the internet.
While related to the establishment of subsidiaries, KKPS currently has four Limited Liability Companies (PT), namely PT Taman Tata Rumput Bersma (PT TTRB), PT Resik Indah Cemerlang (PT RIC), PT Gudang Transportasi Bersama (PT GTB) and PT Griya Asri Bersama (PT GAB).
In the future, Iwa hopes, KKPS can be one of the best cooperatives in the country. With the target of being able to win the ISO 9001 certificate, to guarantee the quality of international standards.
"It is one of the seriousness of the West Java KKPS in building cooperatives, together in realizing the ideals, KKPS becomes a large-scale national and international cooperative," said Iwa.
