BANDUNG - Governor of West Java, Ridwan Kamil attends New Year's Eve Preparatory Ceremony. The ceremony was headed by the Head of West Java Regional Police (Kapolda), Inspector General of Police Agung Budi Maryoto, on Jl. Diponegoro Bandung, Monday (31/12/18) afternoon.
On that occasion, the West Java Regional Police Chief expressed his deepest gratitude, and highest appreciation to all TNI / Polri soldiers, as well as the ranks of Regional Governments and other relevant agencies, for their performance in assisting the Police in carrying out the Lodaya Candle operation, which began on December 21 last.
The Regional Police Chief also revealed that the security activities at the peak of the Christmas celebration on December 25, 2018 in Bandung were led directly by the Governor of West Java. The atmosphere was conducive, safe and smooth.
"Alhamdulillah, the entire West Java Province on the 25th Christmas celebration, all were safe and conducive. But we were also concerned, and mourned because there was a disaster in Banten and Lampung, with 420 dead," said Budi.
There were also cyclone disasters in Cirebon district, which caused 165 houses to be damaged, and one child under five, and 15 injured.

On this new year's eve, Emil revealed that he would be doing activities at the West Java Islamic Da'wah Center (Pusdai) to work and reflect on the end of the year.
"Appeal from me, basically please rejoice, but don't overdo it, and don't do anything that has the potential to disrupt order, because the mood of this republic is much sadder than it was at the end of this year," said Emil, calling the Governor.
Emil also invited West Javanese people to pray and pray for you in the end because of the disaster.
