CIAMIS - Deputy Governor of West Java Uu Ruzhanul Ulum and Chairman of the Board of Commissioners of the Financial Services Authority (OJK) Wimboh Santoso inaugurated the Micro Waqf Bank at the Cijantung and Darussalam Ciamis Al-Quran Islamic Boarding Schools on Saturday (12/29/18).
The Vice Governor of Uu hopes that the micro waqf bank will be able to bridge the micro-business community with investors in the Ciamis region.
"So that West Java's vision of an inner winner in order to improve the welfare of the community can be helped by the birth of this waqf bank financial institution," he hoped.
Micro waqf bank is a sharia-labeled financial institution. Deputy Governor said, in the world there are 3 economic systems namely liberal, socialist and sharia. The middle between the always free liberals and the middle between the socialists which are always governed by the state is Islamic economics.
"It is not too liberal because it is governed by religion and is not too restricted because there is freedom, that is the Islamic economy," he said.
West Java Provincial Government strongly supports the establishment of micro waqf banks because it is in line with one of the programs of the Governor of West Java, namely realizing championship boarding schools. Uu said, if Islamic boarding schools produce alumni who become scholars again it is normal.
"But the alumni being both ulama and businessmen are extraordinary. It is easy to be easily realized also with the existence of this micro waqf bank," said Uu
