Emil, Ridwan Kamil's nickname, reviewed the Christmas Eve at several churches in Bandung with the West Java Regional Police Chief Inspector General of Police. Agung Budi Maryoto, Kasdam III / Siliwangi TNI Brigadier General Nurchahyanto, and Kapolrestabes Bandung Commissioner Pol. Irman Sugema.

The first church Emil visited and the group, St. Peter's Church on Jl. Merdeka No. 14, City of Bandung. Emil advised Christians to carry out the Christmas celebration safely and comfortably.

In his remarks to hundreds of Christians in the Church of St. Peter, Emil said that he was happy to see the happy faces of Christians who were celebrating Christmas. Emil also at the same time asked for prayers for our brothers and sisters who were affected by the Tsunami disaster in Banten and Lampung.
"Tonight we are intentionally present to be happy also to congratulate you for tomorrow's Christmas 2018. We pray for peace in our hearts, peace is in the community, and peace is present for the country," Emil said in his speech.
"I beg you later there will be a special prayer for our brothers and all the Indonesian people to be strengthened in the sadness that occurs in several places there," he continued.
