BANDUNG, West Java Governor Ridwan Kamil inaugurated Regent / Deputy Regent Subang H Ruhimat and Agus Masykur as well as inaugurating the Regent / Deputy Regent Majalengka Karna Sobahi and Tarsono Mardiana, in the West Hall of Gedung Sate Bandung, Wednesday (12/19/18).
The two pairs were the winners in the 2018 simultaneous regional election and will lead their respective regions until 2023. The Subang regent was appointed based on the Indonesian Minister of Home Affairs Decree No. 131.32-7442 in 2018 and the Majalengka Regent through the Indonesian Minister of Home Affairs Decree No. 131.32-6038 in 2018.
"This is the people's choice so it must be respected by all. We hope that this position can be khusnul khotimah and have good intentions," said the Governor who is familiarly called Emil in his message.
Emil asserted that the position of regional head was solely used to serve the people. The leader must intervene with the problem not the leader who is pointing to the hand.
"Being a leader who descends to embrace is not a leader who is hitting down, being a leader who brings change is not a leader who walks in place," Emil stressed.
The governor said that he would pay special attention to the government of Subang, recalling several incidents that had befallen the previous regional head and had to deal with the law.
"There will be a special treatment for Subang, we will push integrity reform to be more optimal. We will also push for the application of technology to minimize the KKN modes," he said.
Emil also entrusted three things to the apparatus in both regions. First, ASN escorted by regional heads must have high integrity values. Second, the people need a government that serves because the apparatus must use a new theory, namely the state that serves the people.
"Online is all services, this is a new service pattern. Third, entrust professionalism, all ASNs must go up to become smarter classes," he ordered.
In addition, the Regents of Subang and Majalengka are guarding the national strategic project, Patimban Port and also developing Kertajati Airport.
"Maintain conduciveness ahead of the legislative election, 2019 presidential election and must pay special attention to the tourism sector which I think is still lacking," concluded Emil.
