WEST BANDUNG REGENCY - Deputy Governor of West Java Uu Ruzhanul Ulum officially closed the Atikan Pendidikan Jabar 2018 Award which has been held for 2 days, in Lembang, West Bandung Regency, Wednesday (12/12/18).
The event which competed the work of information technology innovation was attended by 803 elementary and high school students throughout West Java. There are 10 categories contested, namely white board animation, IT-based schools, interactive media, documentary short films, edu games, public service advertisements, school websites, jingles, innovation works and educational photos.
The Deputy Governor of Uu appreciated the event which was held for the first time. According to him, it will hone and give birth to potential human resources who are ready to compete in the era of industrial revolution 4.0.
"I hope this activity will give birth to professional human resources who are able to compete in the industrial era 4.0 because only those who are able to deal with it will win," he said.
Uu assesses, West Java has great potential to be developed because it has a population of nearly 50 million and its center is education. For this reason, the West Java Provincial Government continues to push for HR and economy not to be left behind by other regions, including through the Atikan Education Award event.
"This potential must be utilized by exploring the potential of our young people," said Uu.
He hopes that the innovation works developed by these students will be useful and applied in the community.
At present, based on an assessment from the Ministry of Education and Culture, in the education process West Java has succeeded in implementing communication information technology in each school.
"We must welcome the 4.0 industrial revolution by implementing IT technology in the field of education," said the Head of the West Java Education Agency, Ahmad Hadadi, as the organizer.
Of the 803 participants who participated in the 2018 Atikan Education Award, consisting of 4 elementary schools, 24 junior high schools, 4 Islamic Senior High Schools, 294 high schools, 490 vocational schools, several students and special schools. Ahmad said, for this year only the SLB, SMU and Vocational High Schools participated. But next year all levels of education even from the general public will be included.
"This year the participants of the SMK, SMU and SLB competitions are in accordance with our authority, and the other apologies are not expected to be implemented next year, due to the connection with the budget," he said.
The winners get a charter and coaching money of Rp. 10 Million.
