BANDUNG - Hundreds of teachers and students from various schools attended the West Java Provincial Teacher's Day Commemoration which was held on the Gedung Sate Parking Yard in Bandung, Monday (11/26). In the warning, the Governor of West Java, Mochamad Ridwan Kamil read the mandate of the Indonesian Minister of Education and Culture (Mendikbud), Muhadjir Effendy.
According to the Governor, at this time there has been a 4.0 industrial revolution phenomenon, so that the teachers are expected to increase professionalism and provide readiness to the generation of students facing increasingly digital competition.
"In the face of increasingly digital competition, not only preparing their students, it means that the teachers must also be competent in their quality," said the Governor, in front of the Teacher's Day Commemoration ceremony.
According to the Governor, the Minister of Education and Culture also advised the teachers that current teachers must have more korsa souls among their teachers and of course a combination of increasing teacher competence readiness to face the industrial revolution 4.0 and social strength among teachers themselves.
"That is a hope, for the teachers in Indonesia, so God willing, the quality of our new generation will be able to compete with countries that are better prepared," he said.
In the event, the Governor of West Java also gave awards to dozens of outstanding teachers from cities and regencies in West Java. (Parno)
