BANDUNG-Around 5000 participants from various elements of the community participated in the activities to prevent Stunting at the West Java Province, which took place at Gasibu Field, Bandung, Sunday (11/18).
The Chairperson of the West Java Province PKK Driving Team, Atalia Praratya Ridwan Kamil said, the purpose and objective of this event was to increase public awareness and awareness about stunting and its dangers for the development of Human Resources (HR) in West Java in particular and Indonesia in general.
"As we know that stunting is a condition due to chronic malnutrition in children which will result in children failing to grow," said Atalia.
According to Atalia, this stunting occurs due to three variables, namely diet, parenting, and sanitation. This activity was carried out as evidence of the seriousness of the West Java Provincial Government in collaboration with TP PKK West Java and the Presidential Staff Office.
"This activity is to move together with all stakeholders, academics, communities and media partners to achieve West Java zero stunting," he said.
This activity, which was coupled with the National Health Day of 2018, began with a leisurely walk by distributing educational stamps to prevent stunting, joint exercise, and ending with the Declaration of Preventing Stunting by the Governor of West Java and Chair of the TP PKK Jabar and representatives of City and District.
