    West Java Province Explored Market Potential and Collaboration with Belgium


    BRUSSELS, BELGIUM - Vice Governor of West Java, Uu Ruzhanul Ulum, along with a delegation of government and businessmen from West Java visited the Indonesian Embassy Office in Brussels, Tuesday (6/11/18) local time. The visit was received by CDM or Deputy Representative of the Indonesian Ambassador to the Kingdom of Belgium, Dupito Simamora.

    On that occasion Uu delivered the agenda of the Delegation of Government and Business Delegation of West Java in Belgium Wallonia in the next few days. "The West Java Provincial Government, in order to implement the sister province cooperation between the Regional Government of West Java Province and the Wallonia Region that has been established a year ago, will hold the West Java Econimic Mission coupled with the first Joint Working Group Meeting with Wallonia," he explained at the meeting location.

    A total of 15 entrepreneurs from various commodities such as coffee, tea, crafts, fashion and animation will participate in the West Java Economic Mission which will be held at Opera de Liege, Wallonia-Belgium starting on the 8th day. November 9, 2018.

    The activity was welcomed by Dupito as Indonesia's representative in Belgium who has mapped the potential commodity needs from West Java to Belgium, "We here (Brussels) welcome the business and government agenda of West Java, because Wallonia is a hub between countries in Europe because it has Logistics and commercial airports in a region, "he said.

    "However, we also expect the West Java Provincial Government to take advantage of Belgium's advantages in other regions, especially in the field of Education, because education in Belgium is not the authority of the Central Government, passing the Regional Government," Dupito added.

    The Indonesian Embassy in Brussels also presented the Indonesian Student Association (PPI) to stay in touch with the Deputy Governor of West Java and the Delegation. On that occasion, several students presented opportunities for cooperation with Belgium in the fields of Biotech, Circular Company and Education with universities in Belgium.
