BANDUNG-West Java Provincial Government today, Monday (15/10) at the Regional Consultative Body (Banmus) of the Regional People's Legislative Assembly (DPRD) submits the Preliminary Draft Regional Medium-Term Development Plan (RPJMD) of West Java Province 2018-2023.
The submission of the initial draft RPJMD was handed over by the West Java Provincial Secretary, Iwa Karniwa representing the Governor of West Java, Mochamad Ridwan Kamil to Irfan Suryanegara as Vice-Chairperson of the West Java Provincial DPRD.
In accordance with Regulation of the Minister of Home Affairs of the Republic of Indonesia number 86 of 2017 concerning Procedures for Planning, Control and Evaluation of Regional Development, Procedures for Evaluating Regional Regulation Draft on Regional Long Term Development Plans and Regional Medium Term Development Plans, and Procedures for Amendment to Long Term Development Plans Regions, Regional Medium Term Development Plans, and Local Government Work Plans, the RPJMD is a regional planning document for a period of 5 years from the inauguration until the end of the term of regional head.
According to Iwa, regional development priorities are not only focused on the implementation of regional government carried out in stages, but rather how to translate wisely the ways to achieve the RPJMD goals. The RPJMD target itself is an elaboration of the regional head's vision, mission, and program that includes the objectives, targets, strategies, policy directions, regional development and regional finances as well as regional tool programs and cross-regional instruments accompanied by an indicative funding framework for a period of 5 (five) years.
"Regional development is compiled based on the RPJMD, RTRW and RPJMN will then be used as a performance benchmark to measure the success of regional development in the next 5 years," he said.
Iwa said, in accordance with Article 49 paragraph (2) and (3) stated, that the regional head proposes an initial draft of the RPJMD to the DPRD to discuss and obtain an agreement, as well as the submission of the initial draft RPJMD must be submitted no later than 40 working days since the regional head and vice regional head inaugurated.
Meanwhile, Irfan Suryanegara as the Vice-Chairperson of the DPRD said his party would immediately form a special team to discuss the Preliminary Draft of the RPJMD submitted by the West Java Provincial Government before it was later ratified through the Plenary Meeting.
"We will discuss the Preliminary Draft of the RPJMD, we can provide input to the draft or have other notes, it will be more perfect," said Irfan, after receiving the Preliminary Draft of RPJMD in the Banmus Room of the West Java DPRD, Monday (15/10). (Parno)
