BANDUNG-West Java Governor Ridwan Kamil or commonly called Kang Emil held a series of meetings at Gedung Sate on Friday (12/10/2018). One of the meetings was the BBWS Citarum Ministry of Public Works which discussed the problem of drought in West Java.
"From the results of the meeting I have decided according to the authority, to deal with or modify the weather for rain or what is commonly called artificial rain," he said after the meeting.
Kang Emil asserted that the artificial rain was attempted to be lowered in several reservoirs or dams.
"We prioritize it in the reservoir or dam area of ??the power plant, like in Jatiluhur. Jatiluhur is currently shrinking by about 13 meters, that is worrying. As a result, it will later disrupt the Java Bali electricity supply as well," he said.
It will cooperate with other related parties, including the BPPT Technology Assessment and Application Agency.
"They are who have the technology , so we submit to them technically. But at least 20 flights will be made to make the rain," said Emil. (Pun)
