BANDUNG – PT West Java International Airport (BIJB) ensures it's ready to start an umroh flight. The first flight will be held on October 13.
President Director of PT BIJ Virda Dimas said the umroh flight from BIJB would transit in India and then fly on to Madinah Saudi Arabia later.
"We are ready, and October 13 has been able to fly Umrah pilgrims from BIJB," he explained during the West Java activity of Having Information (Japri) in Gedung Sate, Tuesday (9/10).
Virda said the umroh flight will use a 737-800 Lion type plane or medium with a number of seats reaching 176 seats. At present, according to him, half of the Umrah seats have been filled, coming from a number of Umrah and Hajj travel agencies from Bandung.
"Some pilgrims come from Ciayumajakuning," he said. The intended Ciayumajakuning are the regions of Cirebon, Indramayu, Majalengka and Kuningan.
He said the time of the umroh trip from West Java International Airport (BIJB) to Madinah would take 10 to 11 hours. jo
