BANDUNG - President Director of Bio Farma M. Rahman Roestan, is committed to applying tax rules to micro small and Medium Enterprises (UMKM). This was stated in a talk show with the theme "The Role of UMKM Against State Development in the Utilization of Taxation Facilities in the 4.0 Industry Era" at Bio Farma, Monday (1/10/2018).
Present at the event were the Head of the Large Taxpayers Regional Tax Office, Mekar Satria Utama, Head of P2Humas Division, Raden Aris Handono, CEO of Shield Group, Ferry Tristianto, and President Director of Bio Farma, M. Rahman Roestan, and Bio Director of Finance, Pardiman.
In his remarks, the Head of the Large Taxpayers of Directorate General of Taxation (DJT) Regional Office, Mekar Satria Utama said, "This event was held as one of DJT strategies to reach taxpayers through an end-to-end approach to micro, small and medium enterprises (UMKM) and expand the taxation database in to increase awareness and compliance in fulfilling the obligations and rights of UMKM Taxpayers. "
Meanwhile M. Rahman Roestan in his remarks delivered, "Bio Farma is committed to applying tax rules to MSMEs to increase the participation and mutual cooperation of UMKM in the development of the country towards the independence of the state budget and the utilization of tax facilities."
The event which was attended by 200 participants consisted of partners fostered by the Partnership and Community Development Program (PKBL) and Bio Farma employees who were entering retirement preparation (MPP) as well as several BUMN Head of Taxes.
One program that was socialized in this event was BDS (Business Development Service). "This program is a guidance and supervision for UMKM Taxpayers to encourage the development of its business on an ongoing basis, increase awareness, engagement and create voluntary compliance," explained R. Aris Handono, Head of P2Humas Division in his presentation.
Whereas Ferry Tristianto, CEO of Perisai Grup said "that UMKM do not enter the market, we are the ones who have to create a market," he added. (Pun)
