BANDUNG-West Java Governor Ridwan Kamil revealed that he had a big idea to change the civilization of rural communities in West Java. Digital village programs are one solution to improve the living standards of rural communities.
According to Emil, the nickname of Ridwan Kamil, the digital village program is not only dealing with the internet. Furthermore, utilizing digital applications or online village communities can increase the level of income and strengthen the potential of the village.
"I am preparing a digital village. Who says digital is only in the city? We change the civilization, from communicating to online trading," Emil said in his presentation at the Leaders Talk event held by Telkom University in Trans Luxury Hotel, Bandung, Friday (28 / 9/18).
"It's not only a matter of wifi but changing the way of trading, changing the way of communicating, mapping the potential, promoting village tourism through a digital ecosystem," he explained.
For this reason, Emil said, it had a training program for farmers in the village to be e-commerce literate. Through a trading application they can trade easily and cheaply.
"Farmers will be trained to be literate about digital commerce. Trade cheaply with easy applications," he said.
