BANDUNG-Vice Governor of West Java Uu Ruzhanul Ulum appealed to Regionally-Owned Enterprises (BUMD) to improve their performance. One of them is to increase income or company income which will have an impact on the Regional Original Income (PAD).
"If an integrity fact needs to be made because it must be encouraged. If a target income or time is determined then the BUMD will show even better performance," West Java Vice Governor told reporters at the West Java Regional Representative Council (DPRD) building on Friday (09/28/2018).
Vice Governor Uu admitted that he had been given the mandate by West Java Governor Ridwan Kamil to hold supervision and control of the performance of BUMD in West Java. He said, so far there had not been any action related to the decline in the performance of BUMD because of the differences between the BUMD at the Provincial and Regency levels.
"So we have not actually taken action because we are still studying the BUMD at the provincial level whose conditions are different from BUMD in Tasikmalaya regency. BUMD in regencies are small in large provinces and there are many. So we need to re-study," he explained.
In the future based on the instructions of the Governor of West Java about BUMD it will coordinate with all BUMDs related to the duties and responsibilities of the Director and the ranks of BUMD that are responsible for increasing the company's revenue to increase Regional Original Revenue (PAD).
"For those who do not meet the target. We will not take off first but will coordinate and will deliver the results of the evaluation with the Governor," he said.
Uu added that in the near future, he would summon all Directors of Regional-Owned Enterprises to listen to the obstacles experienced so far. The goal is to find a solution that can increase the revenue of each BUMD.
"With our assignment given by the Governor of West Java regarding the supervision of the performance of the BUMD, we will coordinate starting next week. I will call all the BUMD directors including other management to explain the obstacles so far," he explained.
In addition, Uu will also ask for capital accountability that has been given if its use is not effective to encourage West Java PAD.
"Capital is given annually to the BUMD, but capital is significant not by increasing the PAD. So whether the BUMD company must be dissolved in accordance with the approval of the DPRD or there is an evaluation of all commissioners and directors in each company," he concluded. (Pun)
